Matt Mecham (aka The Great House Detective) is the only home inspection professional in Cache Valley with a BS in Construction Management along with more than a decade of experience in commercial and residential construction. He knows how homes should be built and can quickly identify problems that might exist. He is certified by InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors) which requires not only an intensive instructional course for initial certification but a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education each year to maintain certification.

Most home inspections will require approximately 3 hours to complete. You do not have to accompany the inspector during the entire process, but the inspector will want to do a walk-through of the home with you during the last hour.

Most often the hiring is done by the person buying the home. Often your realtor or mortgage company will have recommendations of who to hire.
